One Little Word ~ Ali Edwards!

If you are a fan of Ali Edwards, then you know she chooses one word for the year that she focuses on. 2010 was the year of "story". 2011 will be the year of "light". Usually she shares her journey with us via her website but she is now offering a class with Big Picture Classes! I am super excited and just signed up! I will share my experience with the class on this blog. Just a few more weeks til the class starts and I'll announce my word 1-1-11.

Unity's Friends With Flair Friday!

Hello Unity Friends! My current project is the December Daily inspired by Ali Edwards, check it out here. For my December Daily Album, I am using page protectors from scrapbook.com and I have about 6 different styles of these throughout the album. I decided to use the protectors because I live in Arizona and the dust is ridiculous, no mini album stands a chance of surviving without protection. These are a few 4 x 4 embellishments I made with Unity Stamps, they will find a home on a page protector of 9 4x4 squares.

The first is an Itty Bitty, "Find the Joy" and the next is from a previous Kit of the Month. I stamped the images and had some fun coloring with markers. My favorite thing right now is this random sparkle pen which I used on both embellishments on the lettering.

Don't forget to check out all the flair at http://theunitystampco.blogspot.com/. Also, Unity has a new website that rocks and a ton of new co-brand stamps! My favorites are from I.O.D., check them out here.

Enjoy the day and remember to get crafty!

Whats On Your Work Desk Wednesday

My desk is so clean right now it is sad! :) My December Daily foundation is waiting to be filled. Check back this weekend, I hope to have some pages done... now that I have access to my files on my laptop again. :) Check out everyone's creative space at http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/2010/01/whats-on-your-workdesk-wednesday_27.html.

Life

Life has definitely gotten in the way of crafting these days and I've seriously been going through crafty withdraws. :) I have one more month left in this pregnancy and it has been a rough one! So many more symptoms with this one, compared to my first. The latest is a super fast heart...sometimes I feel like I'm gonna pass out! Docs are checking things out so hopefully I will know soon if this is just a pregnancy thing.

Along with health stuff, I dropped my laptop last week and was without for a while! Luckily my husband is super talented with tech stuff and fixed it. Now I can start working on pictures for my December Daily Album! I hope to post some pages this weekend. If you love Ali Edwards, check out this project on her blog at http://aliedwards.com/2010/12/december-daily-day-seven-3.html

Happy Blog Hopping!

Unity's Friends With Flair Friday!

It's already time for Friends with Flair Friday! I'm posting this a bit early because I think I was late last time and I hope to not be up early tomorrow! I have to admit that I have A LOT of Unity stamps that need to get inked, so I dug up the super cute set "Owl Always Love You" to make this card. The square buttons are made with chipboard squares and paper my Ippity Chick gave me. The owls are also stamped on paper from my Ippity Chick and fussy cut, then adhered to pattern paper from, yes, my Ippity Chick. LOL Hope you enjoy the card and the FWF Hop!

Technique Tuesday Flower Challenge!

TTSCS4 Challenge ~ make a card, layout, tag with flowers.
Good Evening Crafty People! Here is my entry for the Technique Tuesday Challenge!
My tag is distressed with Dusty Concord Ink, then stamped with a sentiment from "Hello Life" by Ali Edwards and "Two Steppin Mini" by Technique Tuesday (flowers). I love this picture of my daughter and I'll probably use this as a bookmark!

Unity's Friends With Flair!

Good morning! Happy Friday and Happy Blog Hopping! Today is Friends with Flair day at Unity and I am excited to share my first Unity creation. I made this card for a good friend of mine who just got married. The stamps are from a recent Kit of the Month from Unity, I love the little love birds! To give a dimension the love birds are mounted on a chipboard tag.

I had a second project I wanted to share but the pictures I took yesterday didn't have good light. So next time I will show you my creation with Unity stamps and canvas! Have a great day!
